Grandmaster,

In my basic level of learning, it seems the biu jong is applied in a straight Sei Ping Ma. Is it ever performed to where the hips rotate with the biu jong, and the stance becomes Ding Ji Ma?

Respectfully, Mark

you should do the biu jong and rotate your hips to the right side for the right sei ping ma if you are doing a right biu jong, some forms we do use ding ji ma, for example, the siu moi fa hand form all the biu jongs are in ding ji ma positions.
