Hello Grandmaster.

We are told that Chan yen wu gave us the Buddah palm techniques. Li Yau San contributed the swinging punches and penetrating punches of Southern Sil Lum. Choy Fook gave us the Northern KICKS AND FOOTWORK.
My question is about the chop chui. We stress the emphasis so much in CLF. Which teacher did this arise from?
Or was this Chan Heungs development and contribution?

actually Li Yau San's footwork, of course Choy Fook also had Northern footwork too. But Li Yau San's kicking was very famous in Southern China. Tsop chui has four ways. Chan Yuen Woo's tsop is a regular fist, Li Yau San's tsop is the thumb not pressing on top of the index finger. Choy Fook's tsop is the leopard style and Chan Heung's tsop is like the elephant fist. they are all in my book. [/code]
